Booking and Hours
Notice Period: An exceptionally short 7 hours notice is required to request a delivery appointment via Carrier Central.
Warehouse Hours: BER6 operates with extensive receiving hours:
Monday - Friday: 06:30 AM – 00:45 AM (nearly 24 hours)
Saturday: 06:30 AM – 02:15 PM (14:15)
Sunday: 08:30 PM (20:30) – 00:30 AM
Vehicle Requirements
BER6 enforces standard, strict vehicle requirements for pallet deliveries:
Palletised Deliveries Accepted: Only 7.5-tonne vehicles and Articulated Vehicles (full semi-trailers) are permitted for pallet loads. Tractor trailer with a minimum 95 cm loading edge is also listed as accepted.
Loose Loaded Parcels Accepted: Sprinters and Transit Vans are generally accepted for loose-loaded (non-palletized) parcels.
Vehicles Not Accepted for Pallet Deliveries: Private cars, flatbed trucks, vehicles under 7.5 tonnes, drag & drop trailers, double deck trailers, and vehicles requiring tail lifts are strictly prohibited for palletized freight.
Cargo Preparation
Pallets: Standard EURO pallets (80x120 cm) must be used.
Max Pallet Height:
Single Pallet: Maximum height is 1.8 meters (180 cm).
Double Stacked: Pallets are generally accepted as Double Stacked up to a maximum of 2.8 meters (280 cm) in total height.
Wrapping: Pallets must be stretch-wrapped in clear plastic and securely loaded to prevent shifting.
Weight: Total pallet weight (including the pallet) must not exceed 500 kg.
